EAS CONGRESS 2015 Danang, Vietnam November 15-21, 2015
With the theme “Building the Economic and Connecting Partners,” seventeen (17) exhibitors showcased their coastal and marine management initiatives at the 2015 Environmental Exhibition of the EAS Congress. The exhibition provided a glance of the good practices, modern technologies and new approaches in coastal and ocean governance.
Booth No. 12 represented the Philippines in the Congress Exhibition, featured the Manila Bay, the Iloilo Region and the Coral Triangle Initiative. The Manila Bay panel focused on the issues and concerns, priority programs and projects in the rehabilitation, protection and cleaning of the bay. Other countries participated in the exhibition are: Cambodia, International EMEC Center, China, LAO-PDR, R.O. Korea, Singapore, Thailand, Timor Leste, PEMSEA, Sasahawa Peace Foundation, International EMECS Center, Ocean Policy Research Center, UNDP/GEF SGP, GTZ, Quang Nam Province, Danang, Min. of Natural Resources Vietnam of Seas and Island.
During the exhibits, various IEC materials were distributed, ninety (90) foreign delegates were able to availed the materials distributed such as: 2013 Manila Bay Annual Report, Manila Bayanihan Notebook, SDS Country Report, among others.
H.E. Nguyen Minh Quang, Minister, Ministry of Natural Resources Environment, Vietnam took the Manila Bayanihan notebook during the Opening Ceremony of the Exhibition on November 15, 2015.
Mr. Chu Pham Ngoc Mien, Deputy Minister, Ministry of Natural Resources & Environment (MONRE) Vietnam visited the booth of the Philippines during the tour on the closing ceremony of exhibit on November 21, 2015.
